A PETE COSCARART from the 1940 PLAY BALL set, card #63. This is a great addition to any BROOKLYN DODGERS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 3
The grade is primarily governed by the heavy surface wear and corner damage. Specifically, a significant horizontal crease and substantial rounding on all four corners are the defining condition issues.
Centering: 9 / 10
The front displays a moderate shift toward the top and left edges.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: All four corners exhibit moderate to heavy rounding with visible whitening and wear to the card stock. Back: The corners on the reverse show significant rounding and small areas of paper loss consistent with the front.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: Heavy chipping and fraying are visible along the right and bottom edges, with lighter wear on the remaining sides. Back: The edges on the back show consistent chipping and minor fraying throughout.
Surface: 2 / 10
Front: A prominent horizontal crease runs across the center of the card, accompanied by several smaller surface scuffs and general toning. Back: The reverse shows a visible crease on the right side and significant age-related toning across the entire surface.
