A TOM NOWATZKE from the 1967 PHILADELPHIA set, card #69. This is a great addition to any DETROIT LIONS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 6
This 1967 Philadelphia card is in exceptional condition for its age. The primary factor limiting the grade is the vertical centering shift on both the front and back. However, the corners and edges remain sharp and the surface retains great eye appeal, warranting a high-end vintage grade.
Centering: 6 / 10
The front displays a significant top-heavy orientation, with the upper yellow border being much thicker than the bottom.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: All four corners are remarkably sharp for the era, showing only the faintest touches of whitening visible under magnification. Back: The back corners show light touches consistent with the front, maintaining a very high standard of preservation.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are generally clean, though a faint red print line is visible along the top edge, which is a common characteristic of this set's production. Back: The edges on the reverse are well-defined with only minor shelf wear visible along the right side.
Surface: 8 / 10
The back surface is clean, though a few minor age-related toning spots are present in the lighter cream-colored areas.
