This is a high-grade example of a difficult vintage set. The grade is primarily determined by the horizontal centering shift and minor touches of wear on the corner tips, which are typical for this black-bordered issue.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front displays a shift toward the right edge, but the top and bottom borders are excellently balanced.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: Small touches of white are visible on the Top Left and Bottom Left corners. The right-side corners appear sharper and better preserved. Back: Light whitening is present at the corner tips, which is common for card stock of this era.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The delicate black borders show minor chipping, particularly along the Top and Right edges, though they remain remarkably clean for a 1971 issue. Back: The edges on the reverse side show standard light wear with no major chipping or indentations.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is excellent, retaining deep color and gloss with no significant scratches or print marks. Back: The back is very well-preserved, showing clean text and only minimal age-related toning.
