This vintage 1956 Topps card presents with exceptional eye appeal, highlighted by sharp corners and a clean front surface. The final grade is moderated by a light pencil mark on the reverse and standard factory-style edge fraying. While the centering is shifted horizontally, the surface and edge condition are the primary factors determining the final grade.

The centering on the front is shifted toward the left, while the vertical alignment is relatively balanced.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The Top Left corner shows a very minor touch of whitening. The other three corners remain remarkably sharp for a vintage issue. Back: The corners on the reverse show light touches of wear consistent with the age of the card stock.
Edges: 5 / 10
The edges on the reverse exhibit some fuzziness and a factory-typical rough cut, particularly along the Left and Top edges.
Surface: 5 / 10
The back surface is hindered by a light pencil notation located near the player's home city information.
