A TOMMY HELMS from the 1972 TOPPS set, card #204. This is a great addition to any HOUSTON ASTROS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 4
The card exhibits exceptional corner and edge sharpness for its era, but is primarily limited by significant vertical off-centering on the front and horizontal shift on the reverse.
Centering: 5 / 10
Front: Front centering is vertically off-center, with the top border substantially wider than the bottom border. Back: Back borders are well balanced, with no significant centering deviation detected.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: Bottom Right corner shows the slightest hint of micro-wear at the tip, while the remaining three corners remain remarkably sharp for the issue. Back: All four corners show excellent vintage structure with only faint factory fiber softening.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: Edges are clean and well-defined with only minor roughness typical of vintage card stock. Back: All edges remain neat and intact with minimal age-related toning.
Surface: 7 / 10
Front: The front surface is vibrant and clear with no creases; flagged margin areas represent original design and stadium photo elements. Back: The reverse is clean and legible, showing a minor dark print spot on the top border above the statistics table.
