This 1939 Play Ball card is in Very Good condition. The grade is primarily defined by the heavy rounding on all four corners and the significant right-side centering shift on the front. While the surface has held up well over time with no major creases, the structural wear to the corners and the manufacturing shift limit the final assessment.

The front shows a severe rightward shift horizontally, while vertical centering is relatively well-balanced.

Corners: 2 / 10
Front: All four corners show heavy rounding and softening. The Top Right and Bottom Left corners are particularly blunt. Back: The back corners display significant wear and rounding across the board, matching the condition of the front.

Edges: 4 / 10
Front: The edges show moderate chipping and age-related wear, with the Top edge showing the most visible fraying. Back: Peripheral chipping and minor toning are evident along all four edges on the reverse.

Surface: 6 / 10
The reverse displays several foxing spots and general surface toning consistent with eighty-year-old card stock.
