A light stain near the center of the reverse and vertical off-centering limit the final grade. Despite these flaws, the corners and edges remain exceptionally sharp and well-preserved for a 1953 issue.
Centering: 7 / 10
Front centering is vertically off-center, with the bottom border noticeably wider than the top border.
Corners: 4 / 10
All four corners are exceptionally sharp for this vintage, with only microscopic softening on the tips of the top corners.
Edges: 8 / 10
The top edge shows some minor factory rough-cut texture, while the other edges remain remarkably clean.
Surface: 5 / 10
The reverse surface is clean overall but exhibits a small, light stain near the center of the text.
