This 1952 Topps Ted Wilks is a classic vintage example with excellent eye appeal. While the centering is remarkably strong for the set, the overall grade is determined by the significant rounding of the corners and moderate edge chipping present on both sides.
Centering: 9 / 10
The front display is very well-centered, particularly from left to right, with only a minor vertical offset.
Corners: 3 / 10
Front: All four corners show significant rounding and softening, with the Top Left and Bottom Left corners exhibiting the most pronounced wear. Back: The corners on the reverse side show heavy rounding and surface paper wear consistent with the front.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: The edges show moderate chipping and fraying, particularly along the top and left sides where the white card stock is visible. Back: Edge wear is visible around the entire perimeter, featuring minor chipping and general softening of the stock.
Surface: 5 / 10
Front: The surface displays some light print artifacts and minor abrasions typical of the 1952 issue, though the colors remain quite vibrant. Back: The back exhibits natural age-related toning and a few small marks, but remains fully legible.
