A JACK HARSHMAN from the 1954 TOPPS set, card #173. This is a great addition to any Chicago White Sox collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 5
This card presents as a solid mid-grade example. While the centering and surface remain quite strong for a 1954 issue, the grade is primarily limited by the moderate rounding on the corners and chipping along the edges.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front displays a moderate horizontal shift to the right, though it remains well within acceptable standards for this vintage era.
Corners: 5 / 10
Front: All four corners show moderate rounding and visible whitening, with the Bottom Right corner showing the most significant wear. Back: The back corners mirror the front with consistent rounding and age-related softening of the points.
Edges: 6 / 10
Front: Minor chipping and shelf wear are visible along the side borders, typical for card stock of this age. Back: The edges show some light fraying and minor chipping, particularly along the left side.
Surface: 8 / 10
Front: The surface maintains strong color and gloss, though faint vertical print artifacts are present. Back: The reverse side shows standard age-toning and a few minor print spots but remains clean and legible.
