This vintage card is well-centered but exhibits significant physical wear. The primary grading constraint is the heavy rounding on all four corners and the moderate chipping along the edges. The surface shows expected signs of aging for a 1940 issue.

The front displays a left-to-right shift, though the vertical alignment is excellent for this era.
Corners: 2 / 10
Front: All four corners show significant rounding and wear. The Bottom Right corner is particularly impacted with heavy whitening and stock loss. Back: The corners on the reverse exhibit heavy rounding and softening consistent with the front.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: The edges show moderate chipping and fraying throughout, with a small nick visible on the Right edge near the top. Back: Fraying and minor chipping are evident along all four edges on the reverse.
Surface: 4 / 10
Front: The surface displays natural age-toning. A small dark stain is present on the Left border, and minor scuffing is visible near the bottom name banner. Back: The back shows general toning and a few small, scattered surface spots but remains legible and largely intact.
