The grade is primarily dictated by significant structural damage at the bottom corner, including a prominent fold. While the centering is respectable for a 1940 issue, the combined corner damage and heavy edge fraying place the card in Good condition.

The front displays a moderate horizontal shift toward the right, while the vertical centering is quite balanced for the era.
Corners: 2 / 10
Front: The Bottom Left corner shows severe damage, including a structural fold and fraying of the card stock. The remaining corners show moderate rounding. Back: The Bottom Right corner shows heavy wear and a visible crease corresponding to the damage on the front. Significant rounding is present on the other corners.
Edges: 3 / 10
Front: The Bottom edge is heavily frayed and chipped. There is also minor chipping and shelf wear along the Left and Right edges. Back: Edge wear is consistent with the front, showing notable fraying along the bottom and standard vintage wear along the other sides.
Surface: 4 / 10
The reverse shows heavy toning and some spotting, which is common for this issue, though it does impact the overall visual clarity.
