This vintage 1940 Play Ball card is in mid-grade condition. While the centering is respectable for the period, the grade is limited by the significant rounding of the corners and the heavy wear observed along the edges, especially on the reverse.

The front displays a clear leftward shift, with the left border being roughly half the width of the right.
Corners: 3 / 10
Front: All four corners show significant rounding and softening, which is common for this era. Back: The corners on the reverse side mirror the front with consistent rounding and minor whitening.
Edges: 3 / 10
The top edge shows heavy fraying and chipping, consistent with extensive handling over time.
Surface: 6 / 10
Front: The surface displays typical age-related toning and minor micro-scratches, but remains free of major creases. Back: The reverse side shows general aging and a few light surface marks, typical for 1940s card stock.
