The card presents as a classic mid-grade vintage example. While the centering is exceptionally good for a 1940 issue, the grade is primarily limited by the moderate rounding on the corners and general edge wear consistent with a Very Good-Excellent condition.

The front displays very balanced centering with only a minor bias toward the left and top edges.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: The Top Left and Bottom Left corners show moderate rounding and softening of the card stock. The right-side corners show minor touches of wear. Back: Wear is consistent with the front, with visible rounding on the corners and some fraying at the tips.
Edges: 5 / 10
Front: The edges show standard vintage wear, including light fraying and minor chipping, most notably along the bottom edge. Back: Light chipping and typical age-related wear are present along all four edges of the reverse side.
Surface: 6 / 10
Front: The surface shows heavy age-toning and some minor print spotting, though the image remains clear and free of major creases. Back: The reverse surface shows significant browning due to age and some light surface abrasions, typical for a card of this vintage.
