This card maintains excellent centering for a 1940 issue. However, the overall grade is heavily restricted by the significant horizontal crease across the center and the advanced wear on all four corners.

Front: The front displays very strong centering for its age, with only a minor preference toward the right edge. Back: The back is shifted more noticeably toward the top edge.
Corners: 2 / 10
Front: All four corners exhibit heavy rounding and softening, particularly at the bottom left. Back: The back corners show significant wear and rounding consistent with the front.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: Consistent chipping and minor fraying are visible along all four edges. Back: The edges on the reverse side show widespread wear and age-related darkening.
Surface: 2 / 10
Front: A prominent horizontal crease runs through the center of the card, heavily impacting the eye appeal. Back: The central crease is highly visible on the back, and the surface shows moderate toning and staining.
