This vintage 1940 issue shows significant physical wear that limits the final grade. While the centering is respectable for the era, the heavy rounding of the corners and the advanced edge wear place it in the 'Good' condition range.
Centering: 7 / 10
The horizontal centering is shifted toward the left, while the vertical centering is nearly perfect.
Corners: 3 / 10
Front: All four corners exhibit significant rounding and fraying. The Bottom Left corner shows particularly heavy wear with visible softening of the card stock. Back: The corners on the reverse side mirror the heavy rounding seen on the front, with visible whitening and fiber separation.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: Significant chipping and shelf wear are visible along all four edges, with the most pronounced fraying occurring along the top edge. Back: The edges show moderate to heavy wear and chipping consistent with the card's age.
Surface: 5 / 10
Front: The surface shows expected age-toning and several minor foxing spots. There is also general dullness across the image area. Back: The reverse side has significant browning and minor staining, which is typical for card stock from this era.
