This card presents exceptionally well from a centering and surface standpoint, especially for a 1940 issue. The technical grade is primarily governed by the corners, which show significant rounding and fraying on the reverse side.

Front: The front is very well-centered, showing nearly perfect balance across both axes. Back: The reverse shows a noticeable shift toward the top border.
Corners: 2 / 10
The Bottom Left corner shows significant rounding and fraying. The remaining corners show moderate softening consistent with age.

Minor chipping and wear are visible along the left and bottom edges.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The surface is remarkably clean for its age, showing no creases and only light, natural age-toning. Back: The reverse surface is well-preserved with clear, legible text and no significant defects.
