This vintage 1940 Play Ball card presents well but is primarily limited by the significant rounding of all four corners. The edges show moderate wear, while the centering and surface remain quite strong for an eighty-year-old card.

Front: All four corners exhibit significant rounding and moderate whitening, which is typical for a card of this age. Back: The corners on the reverse side show the same heavy rounding and wear seen on the front.

Front: Moderate roughness and chipping are visible along all four edges, particularly the right edge. Back: The back edges show similar moderate wear and slight fraying consistent with handled vintage stock.

The reverse displays light surface foxing and general browning of the card stock, which is expected for this issue.
