This vintage 1940 Play Ball card is in Good condition. The grade is primarily limited by multiple deep horizontal creases that affect the structural integrity and visual appeal of the card surface. Additionally, the corners show major rounding and the edges exhibit significant fraying consistent with heavy handling over several decades.

The front displays a modest horizontal shift toward the right edge, while the top and bottom borders are nearly perfectly symmetrical.

Front: All four corners exhibit heavy rounding and wear. A significant fold is visible at the Top Left corner, and the Bottom Left corner shows substantial loss of card stock. Back: The back corners show heavy rounding and whitening consistent with the front, with significant blunting on the Top Left and Bottom Right.
Edges: 4 / 10
Front: All four edges show significant fraying, chipping, and general wear, particularly along the Top and Bottom edges. Back: The edges on the reverse show heavy wear and fiber exposure across all sides.

Front: Multiple heavy horizontal creases run across the center and upper portion of the card, bisecting the player's portrait. General surface staining and age-toning are also present.
