A MARVIN OWEN from the 1938 GOUDEY HEADS-UP set, card #263. This is a great addition to any CHICAGO WHITE SOX collection.

This card presents in a low-grade condition primarily due to several heavy horizontal creases that span the entire surface. While the centering is quite good for a 1938 issue, the structural damage from the creases and the significant rounding of all four corners limit the overall grade to a Good or Fair assessment.

The front displays a modest leftward bias, though the top and bottom borders are well-proportioned.

Corners: 2 / 10
Front: All four corners show significant rounding and heavy wear. The Top Right corner is particularly blunt with visible paper softening. Back: The corners on the reverse side match the heavy rounding seen on the front, consistent with extensive handling.

Edges: 2 / 10
Front: The edges exhibit noticeable fraying and chipping, particularly along the Top edge and the upper portion of the Right edge. Back: Fraying and minor chipping are present along the entire perimeter of the back side.

Surface: 2 / 10
Front: Three major horizontal creases span across the width of the card. There is also general surface soiling and age-related toning throughout the image area. Back: The reverse shows heavy creasing that breaks the paper surface in multiple locations, along with significant staining and discoloration.
