A HINES WARD from the 1998 PLAYOFF CONTENDERS set, card #77. This is a great addition to any PITTSBURGH STEELERS collection. Graded by Mint Condition: 9 This is a high-grade example of a difficult die-cut rookie card. The centering and surface are nearly flawless, with only the slightest evidence of handling on the corners and edges preventing a perfect score. Centering: 10 / 10 Front: The die-cut shape is centered perfectly relative to the internal graphics. Back: The reverse side maintains excellent alignment within the unique pennant shape. Corners: 9 / 10 Front: The corners are very sharp, including the delicate tip of the pennant. Only the faintest touch is visible on the far left corners. Back: The reverse corners show excellent integrity with only a microscopic amount of white at the tips. Edges: 9 / 10 Front: The die-cut edges are exceptionally clean for this era, showing no significant chipping or fraying. Back: The edges on the back are smooth with just a few tiny spots of visible card stock along the slanted cuts. Surface: 10 / 10 Front: The glossy surface is pristine with no visible scratches, print lines, or dimples. Back: The back surface is exceptionally clean and free of any marks or staining.
