A CLARK UNIVERSITY from the 1910 S25 set, card #S25.
Graded by Mint Condition: 4
This vintage silk displays superb centering, but the overall condition is limited by moderate fraying along the edges and corners. The presence of minor surface spotting and a horizontal fold consistent with age brings the final assessment to an Excellent-Mint level.
Centering: 10 / 10
Front: The printed elements are perfectly centered within the cut of the silk. Back: The reverse side maintains the same balanced alignment as the front.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: There is noticeable fraying and loose threads at all four corners, which is typical for vintage silk issues. Back: The corners on the reverse side show the same degree of moderate fraying as the front.
Edges: 5 / 10
Front: The top and bottom edges show significant fraying with several long loose threads extending from the fabric. Back: The fraying is visible along the entirety of the vertical and horizontal edges.
Surface: 6 / 10
Front: A few small dark spots are present near the center, and a faint horizontal fold line runs through the lower text area. Back: The staining and fold line are visible from the reverse side of the delicate material.
