The grade is primarily limited by the significant edge chipping common on 1971 black-bordered cards and the off-center horizontal alignment. While the surface and corners remain decent, the accumulation of edge wear and centering constraints lead to an Excellent grade.

Centering: 6 / 10
Front: The front has heavy left-side centering and is moderately bottom-heavy. Back: The back is well-centered with a very slight shift to the right.

Corners: 7 / 10
Front: The Bottom Left and Bottom Right corners show minor touches and slight softening. The top corners are relatively sharp for the issue. Back: Light rounding is visible on all four corners of the reverse side.

Edges: 5 / 10
The sensitive black borders show frequent chipping and white nicks, particularly along the right and bottom edges.

Surface: 8 / 10
Minor scuffing is visible on the dark borders, along with a few tiny print spots in the photo area.
