While the card's surface and edges are in remarkably good condition for a 1948 issue, the final grade is severely limited by the extreme off-center shift to the left on the front.

Centering: 3 / 10
The front has extreme horizontal centering with a very narrow left border compared to the right.

Corners: 6 / 10
Front: All four corners show moderate rounding and softening consistent with a vintage issue of this age. Back: The corners on the reverse side mirror the front with uniform softening and slight wear.

Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges show some minor roughness and typical factory-cut irregularities but no significant chipping. Back: The edges on the back appear relatively clean with standard vintage wear.

Surface: 8 / 10
The surface is well-preserved for its age, showing the expected sepia-toned finish without major scratches or creases.
