This 1954 Topps card is in excellent condition for its age, featuring exceptional surface quality and vibrant colors. The final grade is determined by the centering, which is noticeably off-center toward the Top Right, but it maintains enough border to avoid a more significant penalty.

The front displays a notable shift toward the right and top edges, leaving the left and bottom borders considerably wider.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The Top Right corner shows slight rounding and minor whitening. The other corners remain quite sharp for a vintage issue. Back: Minor touches of whitening and tiny dings are visible at the corner tips on the reverse side.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are generally clean, though there is some light, natural roughness along the Left edge. Back: The back edges show very minor chipping and light wear along the Right edge.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is very well-preserved with bright orange color and minimal print artifacts. Back: The reverse is clean with no evidence of wax stains or heavy scuffing.
