This 1959 Topps rookie card is in exceptional condition for its era regarding its corners, edges, and surface. However, the overall grade is primarily limited by the significant left-heavy centering on the front.

The front has a pronounced left-heavy horizontal alignment and a slight top-heavy vertical orientation.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The corners are remarkably sharp for a vintage issue, with only the Bottom Left and Bottom Right corners showing microscopic touches of white. Back: The back corners show light touches of wear and minor whitening at the tips, consistent with the age of the card stock.
Edges: 9 / 10
Front: The edges are clean and straight with no significant chipping or fraying visible. Back: The edges on the reverse appear smooth and well-preserved.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is excellent, retaining deep colors and high gloss with no visible creases or scratches. Back: The reverse surface is clean with no evidence of wax staining or cardboard degradation.
