A DON KOLLOWAY from the 1953 TOPPS set, card #97. This is a great addition to any PHILADELPHIA ATHLETICS collection.

The card shows extreme wear consistent with a low-grade vintage specimen. While the central image is visible, the presence of major paper loss, a large tear at the bottom edge, and significant ink writing on the reverse necessitates the lowest technical grade.

The front displays a moderate shift toward the bottom edge, where the border becomes very thin.
Corners: 1 / 10
Front: All corners show significant rounding and whitening. The Bottom Left corner has suffered major paper loss and a large tear. Back: The corners on the reverse show heavy wear, with the paper loss from the front being clearly visible at the bottom.
Edges: 2 / 10
Front: Significant chipping and fraying are present along all edges, with a major piece of card stock missing from the bottom edge. Back: Heavy edge wear is visible throughout, especially along the bottom edge where the tear has removed a portion of the design.
Surface: 2 / 10
Front: The front surface shows light scratching and general age-related wear, compounded by the severe damage at the bottom. Back: The back has a large name written in red ink across the center and significant paper loss along the bottom edge.
