This 1956 Topps Don Mueller is an exceptional vintage example boasting high-grade corner, edge, and surface qualities. The final grade is primary limited by the horizontal centering shift on the front, which places it in the Near Mint range despite the higher technical merits of the other subgrades.

The front displays a moderate left-to-right shift, with the left border being visibly broader than the right.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The corners are remarkably well-preserved for a vintage issue, with only a microscopic touch of wear visible on the Bottom Left corner. Back: The back corners mirror the front, showing high integrity with only minor softening at the extreme tips.
Edges: 9 / 10
Front: Edges are clean and crisp throughout, showing very little of the chipping often associated with this era of card stock. Back: The back edges remain sharp and well-defined with no significant flaws noted.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The surface maintains excellent color registration and a high-gloss finish. There are no visible creases or scratches. Back: The reverse surface is clean, with the red and black ink remaining bold and legible against the stock.
