A ED SADOWSKI from the 1963 TOPPS set, card #527. This is a great addition to any LOS ANGELES ANGELS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 5
The final grade is primarily determined by the condition of the corners, specifically the moderate rounding visible on the Top Right corner. While the surface and centering are quite good for a vintage card of this era, the corner wear limits the overall technical grade to the Very Good to Excellent range.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front displays a clear shift toward the right, resulting in a noticeably wider left border. Vertical alignment is slightly bottom-heavy but within standard tolerances.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: The Top Right corner shows moderate rounding and minor cardboard exposure. The Top Left corner has a slight touch of wear, while the bottom corners remain relatively sharp for the era. Back: The corners on the reverse show light rounding and edge wear that mirrors the front condition, with the Top Right showing the most significant softening.
Edges: 7 / 10
Front: The top edge exhibits minor chipping and light fraying. The remaining three edges show typical vintage rough-cut characteristics but remain structurally sound. Back: The edges on the back show minor chipping and shelf wear, particularly along the top edge.
Surface: 8 / 10
The front surface is clean with strong color. There is some minor print speckling visible in the blue sky portion of the background, which is common for this issue.
