A ELLIS BURTON from the 1959 TOPPS set, card #231. This is a great addition to any ST. LOUIS CARDINALS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 7
This vintage card presents well with sharp registration and strong surface quality. The final assessment is primarily limited by the centering shift toward the bottom and a physical nick on the bottom edge.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front display is shifted toward the bottom edge, resulting in a significantly thinner bottom border compared to the top.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The corners remain relatively sharp, with only minor touches of wear visible on the Bottom Left and Top Right corners. Back: Light whitening is present on the corner tips, which is consistent with the age of the card stock.
Edges: 6 / 10
Front: The Bottom edge features a visible nick or irregular cut near the left side. The other three edges appear smooth. Back: The irregularity on the Bottom edge is also visible from the reverse side, showing some minor fraying.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is very clean with vibrant colors and no significant scratches or print defects. Back: The reverse side shows natural age-toning but is free from any staining or creases.
