A ELLIS BURTON from the 1959 TOPPS set, card #231. This is a great addition to any ST. LOUIS CARDINALS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 7
This is a high-eye-appeal vintage example defined by its elite centering. The final grade is determined by minor corner rounding and typical edge roughness found in 1950s card stock.
Centering: 10 / 10
Front: Front centering is superb, with the circular design appearing perfectly balanced within the frame. Back: The reverse side is moderately shifted toward the left edge, which is common for this era.
Corners: 6 / 10
Moderate wear and light rounding are visible on the Bottom Right corner. The other corners show standard shelf wear.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The Right edge exhibits a slightly rough factory cut typical of vintage Topps production. The remaining edges are smooth. Back: Minor chipping and light fraying are visible along the Top and Left edges.
Surface: 8 / 10
The reverse shows natural age-toning and light foxing but is free from wax stains or ink marks.
