This vintage 1953 Topps card is in Very Good condition. The grade is primarily determined by the moderate rounding and whitening observed on the bottom corners. While the back exhibits a heavy vertical centering shift, the front maintains solid eye appeal with excellent color and a clean surface.
Centering: 7 / 10
Front: The front horizontal centering is excellent, while the vertical centering shows a preference toward the bottom edge. Back: The back exhibits a significant vertical shift, with a very thin bottom border.
Corners: 3 / 10
Front: The Bottom Left and Bottom Right corners show moderate rounding and whitening. The top corners are slightly softer but remain in better condition. Back: Similar to the front, the bottom corners show visible wear and rounding. The top corners exhibit minor touches of shelf wear.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are relatively clean with only minor touches of chipping typical for this vintage issue. Back: Minor fraying is visible along the top edge, while the side edges remain straight and largely intact.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is exceptionally clean for its age, featuring vibrant colors and no visible creases or scratches. Back: The reverse surface shows natural age-toning but is free from any writing, staining, or structural defects.
