A GENE WOODLING from the 1957 TOPPS set, card #172. This is a great addition to any CLEVELAND INDIANS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 7
This 1957 Topps Gene Woodling is a high-quality vintage specimen. Its strong surface and vibrant color are impressive. The final grade is determined by minor touches of corner wear and a moderate horizontal centering shift, making it a solid representative of the Near Mint category.
Centering: 9 / 10
The front horizontal centering shows a slight preference for the left side, while the vertical centering is nearly perfect.
Corners: 7 / 10
Front: The Bottom Left and Bottom Right corners show minor touches of whitening. The top corners remain relatively sharp for a vintage card. Back: All four corners exhibit light touches of wear and very minor rounding consistent with standard handling of vintage stock.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are generally clean, with only minor roughness visible along the right edge. Back: The back edges show slight chipping typical of cards from this era, but no major defects are present.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is excellent, retaining strong color and showing no signs of scratches, creases, or printing defects. Back: The back surface is clean and well-preserved with clear, legible text and minimal age-related toning.
