A GEORGE STRICKLAND from the 1952 TOPPS set, card #197. This is a great addition to any PITTSBURGH PIRATES collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 2
This card displays heavy technical wear across all categories. The presence of multiple deep, structural creases on the front surface and advanced rounding on all four corners limits the final condition assessment to the Poor range, despite the relatively strong centering for a 1952 issue.
Centering: 9 / 10
The front centering is quite good for the era, showing only a very slight bias toward the top and left borders.
Corners: 2 / 10
Front: All four corners show heavy rounding and significant whitening, with wear extending into the card's surface. Back: The back corners exhibit advanced rounding and surface wear consistent with a heavily handled vintage card.
Edges: 2 / 10
The edges show significant chipping and fraying, particularly along the right and bottom sides.
Surface: 1 / 10
Several heavy horizontal and vertical creases are present, most notably across the center of the player's portrait. General staining and surface wear are also evident.
