A GEORGE STRICKLAND from the 1952 TOPPS set, card #197. This is a great addition to any PITTSBURGH PIRATES collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 4
This vintage issue is primarily limited by significant corner rounding across both sides. While the centering is off-set vertically, the physical wear to the corners and edges defines the final condition.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front displays a pronounced top-heavy shift, while the left and right margins are quite even.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: All four corners show moderate rounding and visible whitening consistent with handled vintage stock. Back: The corners on the reverse exhibit rounding and fiber exposure, particularly at the Top Left and Bottom Right.
Edges: 5 / 10
Front: Minor chipping and fraying are visible along the top and bottom edges. Back: The edges show light wear and typical age-related toning along the card stock perimeter.
Surface: 7 / 10
Front: The surface is generally clean with some expected age toning and minor scuffing, but no significant creases. Back: The back surface is well-preserved with clear text, showing only light foxing and natural paper aging.
