A GEORGE SUSCE from the 1957 TOPPS set, card #229. This is a great addition to any BOSTON RED SOX collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 6
This is a very high-quality vintage specimen from 1957. While the surface and corners remain in excellent condition, the final grade is primarily limited by the leftward centering shift on the front. Given the era of the card, the overall presentation is still very sharp.
Centering: 6 / 10
The front displays a moderate left-to-right centering shift. The top and bottom borders are nicely proportioned.
Corners: 7 / 10
All four corners show light, consistent softening and minor touches of wear typical of a vintage card of this era.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are generally clean, with only some very faint fraying visible along the Left edge. Back: The edges on the reverse side are well-preserved, showing only natural age-related toning.
Surface: 8 / 10
Front: The surface presents excellent color and clarity. There are no significant scratches or creases, though some tiny print spots are visible in the background. Back: The back surface shows standard vintage toning but is free of any staining, writing, or structural damage.
