A GEORGE ZUVERINK from the 1952 TOPPS set, card #199. This is a great addition to any CLEVELAND INDIANS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 3
While the card's surface and corners show standard wear for a vintage card from the 1950s, the final grade is restricted by the severe manufacturing miscut on the front, resulting in a sliver-thin left border.
Centering: 3 / 10
The front shows a dramatic shift to the left, creating a sliver on that edge, while the top border is slightly heavier than the bottom.
Corners: 5 / 10
Front: All four corners show moderate rounding and softening, with the Top Right and Bottom Right corners being the most impacted. Back: Consistent with the front, the back corners display noticeable rounding and minor whitening at the tips.
Edges: 6 / 10
Front: The edges show minor chipping and the rough-cut texture common for cards of this era, particularly on the Right edge. Back: The back edges exhibit light wear and slight chipping along the top and bottom.
Surface: 7 / 10
The front surface has light age-related spotting (foxing) visible in the upper background area, but remains free of major creases.
