This 1954 Topps Gus Bell is a high-quality vintage specimen. The final grade is primarily limited by the minor corner wear and the moderate left-shifted centering on the front. Aside from these age-appropriate flaws, the card remains sharp with excellent surface preservation and strong edges.

The front has a noticeable left-heavy centering shift.
Corners: 7 / 10
Front: All four corners show minor touches of whitening and slight rounding consistent with vintage wear. Back: The back corners mirror the front with minor rounding and touches of white visible at the tips.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are generally clean, though very minor chipping is visible along the left border. Back: Minor edge wear and faint chipping are present, primarily along the right edge.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The surface is exceptionally well-preserved for its age, showing only standard print characteristics. Back: The reverse surface is clean and free of the wax or gum stains often found on cards of this era.
