This 1958 Topps card is in exceptional condition for its age. The main factors limiting the grade are the minor touches of wear on the upper corners and a slight horizontal centering shift on the front. The surfaces are vibrant and free of major flaws, presenting a very strong overall appearance.
Centering: 9 / 10
The front horizontal centering shows a slight left-hand shift, while the vertical centering is nearly balanced.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The Top Left and Top Right corners show minor signs of touch and micro-fuzz, while the bottom corners remain sharp. Back: Minor whitening is present at the corner tips on the reverse, consistent with high-grade vintage stock.
Edges: 8 / 10
The back edges show minor age-related toning and very slight chipping along the top and right sides.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The surface maintains excellent original gloss and color; a tiny print spot is visible on the subject's cheek. Back: The reverse surface is clean and well-preserved with clear, legible text and minimal toning.
