This 1953 Bowman Color Harry Byrd is in excellent condition. The centering is superior for the era, and the surface remains remarkably fresh. The final grade is primarily limited by minor corner softening and natural age-related toning on the card stock.

Front: The front displays exceptional centering for this era, with only a very slight shift toward the top and left. Back: The back is well-centered with a minor bias toward the bottom right.

Corners: 7 / 10
Front: All four corners show very minor touches of wear and slight softening consistent with high-grade vintage stock. Back: The back corners mirror the front with light rounding and minimal whitening at the tips.

Edges: 8 / 10
The edges on the reverse are well-preserved, showing only faint natural toning and tiny specks of shelf wear.

The reverse surface shows characteristic age-toning and a few minor spots, but remains free of any major defects or staining.
