This vintage 19th-century card shows extreme wear consistent with a Poor grade. The presence of significant paper loss on the corners and edges, combined with heavy surface scuffing on the main portrait and overall staining, limits the condition to the lowest tier.

The central image is fairly well-aligned, though the primitive cutting of the era results in uneven borders.
Corners: 1 / 10
Front: There is severe paper loss at the Bottom Left corner. The remaining three corners are heavily rounded with significant wear. Back: Substantial material loss is visible on the corner corresponding to the front's bottom left. All other corners show heavy rounding.
Edges: 1 / 10
Front: The edges are extremely jagged and show significant chipping and fraying, particularly along the bottom edge. Back: Significant edge wear and chipping are visible around the entire perimeter.
Surface: 1 / 10
Front: Extensive surface scuffing has resulted in color loss on the subject's face and chest. Heavy staining and foxing are present throughout the card. Back: The back surface shows deep age-toning, significant staining, and areas of paper loss.
