This vintage silk is exceptionally well-centered and retains vibrant original color. However, the grade is significantly limited by the heavy fraying present along the top and bottom edges and all four corners, which is characteristic of the material but represents structural degradation.
Centering: 9 / 10
Front: The central seal and text are remarkably well-centered for a fabric tobacco insert. Back: The reverse side shows mirrored alignment consistent with the front.
Corners: 2 / 10
Front: All four corners exhibit significant fraying and loose threads from the weave of the silk. Back: Heavy fraying is visible at all corner points on the reverse side.
Edges: 2 / 10
Front: The top and bottom edges are heavily frayed with significant loose threading extending from the main body. Back: The edges show mirrored wear, with the vertical sides remaining cleaner than the frayed horizontal edges.
Surface: 8 / 10
Front: The fabric surface is clean with deep red color and very few minor snags or surface imperfections. Back: The reverse side is well-preserved, showing the mirrored weave with no major stains or damage.
