A PAUL SARRINGHAUS from the 1948 BOWMAN set, card #77. This is a great addition to any DETROIT LIONS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 7
This vintage 1948 Bowman card presents in excellent condition. While the vertical centering is shifted toward the top, the overall preservation of the surface and edges is high. The grade is primarily dictated by the vertical centering and minor corner wear typical of the era.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front image is positioned higher within the frame, resulting in a thinner top border compared to the bottom.
Corners: 7 / 10
Front: The Top Left and Top Right corners show minor softening and micro-fuzzing consistent with age. Both bottom corners appear sharp. Back: Similar to the front, the top corners show light touches of wear, while the bottom corners remain well-defined.
Edges: 8 / 10
The edges are generally clean, though a slight natural rough cut is visible along the top edge, which is common for this vintage set.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The surface is remarkably clean for a 1948 card, with no visible creases, scratches, or stains, and only minimal print grain. Back: The back surface shows uniform age-toning but is free of any markings, wax stains, or structural damage.
