A PETE ROSE from the 1970 TOPPS set, card #458. This is a great addition to any Cincinnati Reds collection. Graded by Mint Condition: 4 This card presents strong eye appeal with relatively sharp corners and clean surfaces for a vintage issue. However, the grade is heavily constrained by the severe off-center cut on the front, which nearly results in a miscut along the right edge. Due to this significant centering defect, it is a primary candidate for an off-center qualifier. Centering: 3 / 10 The front exhibits a significant shift toward the right, resulting in a very narrow border on that side. Vertical alignment is much better, with a slight preference toward the top. Corners: 7 / 10 The Top Right and Bottom Left corners show minor touches of whitening and slight rounding. Edges: 8 / 10 The edges on the reverse side show minor signs of shelf wear and very light chipping along the right side. Surface: 8 / 10 Front: The front surface appears clean and free of major defects, though assessment is slightly hampered by the protective holder.
