A PHILIP CAVARETTA from the 1952 BOWMAN set, card #1952. This is a great addition to any Chicago Cubs collection. Graded by Mint Condition: 4 This vintage card shows significant wear consistent with a mid-to-low grade. The primary limiting factors are the heavy rounding on all four corners and the severe centering defect on the back, where the top border is nearly non-existent. General edge chipping and surface toning also contribute to the overall grade. Centering: 7 / 10 The front displays a pronounced shift, with the left border being much wider than the right and the bottom border being thicker than the top. Corners: 3 / 10 Front: All four corners show moderate to heavy rounding and visible whitening of the card stock. Back: The corners on the reverse side mirror the front with significant rounding and wear across all four points. Edges: 5 / 10 Front: Visible chipping and minor fraying are present along all four edges, most notably on the right edge. Back: The edges on the back show consistent wear and slight chipping along the perimeter. Surface: 6 / 10 Front: The surface shows typical age-toning and light wear, though no major creases are immediately apparent under current lighting.
