This 1959 Fleer Ted Williams card is in exceptional condition for its age, featuring sharp corners and clean surfaces. The final grade is primarily determined by the vertical centering, which is shifted toward the top on both the front and back.
Centering: 7 / 10
Horizontal centering is nearly perfect, while the image is shifted noticeably toward the top edge.
Corners: 8 / 10
Front: The corners are very sharp for the era, with only the Top Left and Top Right corners showing micro-touches of wear. Back: The back corners mirror the front, displaying excellent sharpness with minimal age-related whitening.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The edges are clean and straight with very little evidence of the fraying common in vintage stock. Back: The edges are well-preserved, though the right edge shows minor factory-cut roughness.
Surface: 8 / 10
The back is well-preserved, displaying only minor natural toning spots consistent with a vintage card.
