A TOMMY CARROLL from the 1957 TOPPS set, card #164. This is a great addition to any NEW YORK YANKEES collection. Graded by Mint Condition: 7 This 1957 Topps Tommy Carroll is an excellent vintage example. The imagery is remarkably sharp and the surfaces are near pristine. The grade is primarily limited by the leftward centering shift on the front and minor touches of wear on the corners, which place it solidly in the Near Mint tier. Centering: 7 / 10 The front displays a leftward shift, though the vertical alignment is nearly centered. Corners: 7 / 10 Front: The Top Right corner shows a minor touch of whitening and very slight softening. The other three corners show minor touches consistent with careful handling. Back: Corners show minor touches of wear and faint whitening along the edges, typical for this vintage stock. Edges: 8 / 10 Front: The edges are largely clean, showing only the natural slight roughness expected from a 1957 production cut. Back: The edges are well-preserved with only minor chipping visible under magnification. Surface: 10 / 10 Front: The front surface is excellent, with bright colors and a high-gloss finish for the era. No scratches or print defects are observed.
