A TY COBB from the 1961 FLEER BASEBALL GREATS set, card #1. This is a great addition to any DETROIT TIGERS collection. Graded by Mint Condition: 3 This vintage card is primarily limited by the rounding and wear on the reverse corners and a significant vertical centering shift on the front. While the front surface and horizontal centering are strong, the corner softening and edge chipping are consistent with a mid-grade vintage example. Centering: 3 / 10 While the side-to-side centering is nearly perfect, the image is heavily weighted toward the bottom, resulting in a very narrow bottom border. Corners: 4 / 10 The corners on the reverse side show more significant rounding and visible whitening, especially at the Top Left. Edges: 6 / 10 Front: Visible chipping and minor shelf wear are present along the Top and Bottom edges. Back: The edges show consistent micro-chipping and light fraying across all four sides. Surface: 7 / 10 Front: The surface displays common print flecking and a few faint hairline scratches visible in the red field. Back: The back shows natural age-related toning and a few minor spots, but no significant staining or creases. Please pay for multiple cards in ONE payment.
