A VALMY THOMAS from the 1960 TOPPS set, card #167. This is a great addition to any PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 5
The card displays outstanding corner, edge, and surface preservation for a 1960 issue, but the overall grade is strictly constrained by the heavy leftward front centering.
Centering: 6 / 10
Front: Front centering is horizontally off-center, with the right border substantially wider than the left border. Back: Back borders are well balanced, with no significant centering deviation detected.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: All four corners are exceptionally sharp for the vintage era, with only the slightest micro-wear at the tips. Back: All four reverse corners maintain clean factory squareness with only trace fiber softening.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: The left and right edges show standard vintage cut texture with no significant chipping. Back: All four reverse edges are clean and intact with minimal age-related wear.
Surface: 8 / 10
Front: The front surface retains strong color and gloss, with minor vintage print flecks in the lower-left background. Back: The reverse surface is clean, fully legible, and free of any creases, writing, or staining.
