A WILLIE MAYS from the 1972 TOPPS set, card #50. This is a great addition to any SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS collection.
Graded by Mint Condition: 5
The grade is primarily governed by noticeable horizontal off-centering on the front and vertical shift on the back. The surface, edges, and corners remain in strong condition with only light age-related corner softening.
Centering: 6 / 10
Front: Front centering is horizontally off-center, with the right border noticeably wider than the left border. Back: Back borders are well balanced, with no significant centering deviation detected.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: Top Left corner shows the most noticeable minor fiber softening, while the remaining corners show light vintage touch wear. Back: Top Right corner displays minor tip fraying, with light softening present across the other corners.
Edges: 8 / 10
Front: Top edge exhibits minor factory rough-cut roughness typical of the vintage issue, with otherwise clean perimeters. Back: Top edge shows faint paper fuzz from the original factory cut, while side and bottom edges remain clean.
Surface: 9 / 10
Front: The front surface is clean with strong color saturation and no visible scratches or creases. Back: The reverse surface is well-preserved with clean cardboard stock and no wax staining or creasing.
