This 1954 Topps issue presents with exceptional eye appeal and color. However, the moderate rounding at the Top Right corner and the vertical centering shift are the primary factors determining the final grade.
Centering: 7 / 10
The front displays a notable shift toward the top border, while horizontal centering remains relatively strong for the era.
Corners: 4 / 10
Front: The Top Right corner exhibits moderate rounding and visible whitening. The remaining corners show minor softening consistent with a vintage issue. Back: Whitening and slight rounding are evident on all four corners of the reverse side, most notably at the Top Left.
Edges: 6 / 10
Front: Visible chipping and minor fraying are present along the Left and Bottom edges. Back: The Top edge shows a fair amount of chipping and wear across the surface.
Surface: 8 / 10
Front: The surface maintains excellent color and gloss, with only typical print snow and light age-related toning. Back: The reverse side is clean and free of any major staining or creases, though mild surface wear is present.
